Activate license without maintenance & enable it later (API / CLI)

We currently activate TSplus licenses via command line (VOL) during VM provisioning.

Our requirement is to:

• activate a license without maintenance

• enable maintenance at a later time

• manage both operations via API or CLI, without manual interaction on each VM through the portal

Is there currently a supported way (API, CLI, or documented procedure) to enable maintenance after license activation in an automated manner?

If not available today, is this functionality planned?
