Activate license without maintenance & enable it later (API / CLI)

Remote Access Feature Request

We currently activate TSplus licenses via command line (VOL) during VM provisioning.

Our requirement is to:

  • activate a license without maintenance

  • enable maintenance at a later time

  • manage both operations via API or CLI, without manual interaction on each VM through the portal

Is there currently a supported way (API, CLI, or documented procedure) to enable maintenance after license activation in an automated manner?

If not available today, is this functionality planned?

    This capability is not planned as a Volume License license or a subscription will always includes Update & Support. Thank you.

      Thank you for your clarification.

      In our case, we are using Volume Licenses (Enterprise edition) and the Update & Support does not appear to be activated automatically.

      According to the official documentation:
      https://docs.tsplus.net/it/tsplus/volume-licensing-activate/

      we tried to use the following command to add the missing support:

      AdminTool.exe /vl /activate-support YOUR-VOLUME-LICENSE-KEY /users 5 /edition Enterprise /endofsupport 2026-12-31

      (we are replacing YOUR-VOLUME-LICENSE-KEY with our actual Volume License key)

      However, the command fails and returns an error.

      Our TSplus version is:

      17.2025.6.27

      Also, to clarify, we are using the Enterprise edition, not Printer.

      Could you please confirm:

      • Is /activate-support supported in version 17.2025.6.27?

      • Is there any specific requirement for Enterprise Volume Licenses?

      • Is there a different procedure to activate the support period for Enterprise VL keys?
