Remote Access Feature Request

It would be very useful to be able to manage the entire FARM from a single access point.

Having a true farm management console from which you can:

  • Update the various application servers

  • Manage licenses

  • Assign configurations to multiple servers simultaneously.

    I believe farm management is a key aspect of the system architecture.

    In an environment with many application servers, having a single point of management is essential.

    For example, we have 58 application servers in our setup. Currently, we need to connect to each server individually to manage settings, updates, and other tasks.

    For a technician, having everything under control is crucial, which is why a dedicated console is likely necessary.

    From this console, it should be possible to manage and monitor the entire farm, as well as deploy updates for the various TSplus applications without needing to connect to each server.

    The ability to schedule updates would be an additional improvement. Likewise, being able to save and apply application server settings without directly accessing each server would be highly beneficial. Other management solutions already provide these basic features.

    I believe TSplus has room for improvement, and I would be glad to contribute by providing detailed insights into how we use it

    Hello Daniele,
    The farm manager is designed to allow easy synchronization of applications and settings accros the farm servers. Is something missing in this synchronization according to you?
    Recently, we have added the Remote Access version for each server. The next is to allow updating them. Regarding configuration backups, since all application assignement accros the farm is done from the farm manager, it is only necessary to backup the farm manager.
    This year’s roadmap includes the possibility to manage the licences from the command line. This is the first step to allow the Farm Manager to manage the licences of the farm.

    Perhaps it could be a separate management called "Farm Console" with which to manage the farm servers, perform massive operations such as updates, configurations, app assignments, configuration backups, etc.

    There would also be interest in a way to synchronize configurations across multiple Farm Managers.
