Connection client for MacOS / Linux

It would be very interesting to be able to use the HTML plugin for Apple MacOS, not just Windows. Currently, if I have a web portal and choose to provide the service as a remote app, the plugin is only available for Windows, while Apple devices must use HTML5.

    Hi @Thomas Montalcino,

For macOS users who rely on microsoft’s native Remote Desktop Gateway, Remoteapps are delivered as work resources through a feed that is downloaded from the gateway. This allows users to easily access published applications and desktops. A similar approach also works on Linux with Thincast WebAccess as I’m sure you know. Feed-based RemoteApp access could be a practical cross-platform solution for this.

A good first step would be for the TSplus Gateway to generate a similar resource feed, allowing macos and Linux users to subscribe to it and access full desktops and Remoteapps through existing Remoteapp clients via the Remoteapp program, making it feel native.

In a later phase, we could introduce a lightweight local app or wrapper to integrate 2FA and advanced settings.

    Connection Client available on MacOS

I would like to convey customer interest in a Connection Client for Mac devices. It's okay that you can work via the web and RDP client, but ultimately you don't have the full functionality that the Connection Client has.

Oh sorry the description is in the title. Unfortunately, it cannot be changed retrospectively.

    Hello Daniele,

    Thank you for your feedback.

Incidentally, we planned to make the ConnectionClient available on Linux-based system in this year’s roadmap. We will follow the progress of this new feature from your feature request. It will be moved on the product’s roadmap when we are ready to work on it.

    Kind regards,

    Thomas
